Salivary Hormone Testing
Did you know that most blood tests do not measure the bioavailable “free” hormone levels?  Salivary testing more accurately reflects the levels of hormones in the blood that are available for use by body tissues, and can help to identify hormone imbalances that may cause symptoms such as fatigue, hot flashes, foggy thinking, sleep disturbances, depression and others.  Salivary testing is convenient and easy to perform in the privacy of your home.  A wide range of hormones are available for testing - Estradiol, Estriol, Estrone, Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA-S, Adrostenedione and Cortisol.

Bone Mineral Density Testing
Through the use of ultrasound, we can measure the Bone Mineral Density of your heel to screen the health of your bones. This screening is quick, painless, and involves no disrobing. Please allow 15 minutes per testing, and do not wear any stockings or pantyhose.  Our pharmacists will be happy to discuss various supplements and lifestyle changes to help ward off osteoporosis.

Did you know ...

• A woman’s bone mineral density peaks in her mid 30’s
• During perimenopause a woman can lose an average of 1% of her bone density per year, until she reaches menopause
• During menopause this rate can jump to 3 to 5% loss per year
• Osteoporosis affects men as well as women

Abrams Royal Pharmacy is pleased to offer pharmacist consultations by appointment. The consultations usually last from 1 to 2 hours.  Such an appointment allows for targeted individualized attention to the client’s needs.

Due to the high demand and limited time slots available for consultations, each appointment will be held with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover). 

If you need to cancel your appointment,
please call 24 hours in advance
so that we may have time to reschedule your time slot.

If no notice is given for a canceled or missed appointment,
the full $50.00 consultation fee will be assessed.
